ABOUT
Cutting-edge methods for EEG/MEG
The CuttingEEG association aims to support the dissemination of the most innovative, cutting-edge methods for EEG and MEG research on cognition. It was founded to support the organisation of the CuttingEEG forums and PracticalMEEG workshops.
We promote cutting-edge methodology for EEG and MEG research in the largest sense:
- Computational and statistical methods and tools
- Hardware for in- and out-of-the-lab experimentation
- State-of-the-art procedures for improved statistical power and data quality
- Connection between private and public sectors of innovation
OUR EVENTS
CuttingEEG conference
The CuttingEEG event was created to accompany researchers willing to keep up with the flow of new methods. It consist of a 3 to 4 days forum of conferences, workshops, demonstrations which brings together users and methods developers to promote state-of-the-art analysis techniques and support applied innovation in EEG research for the lab and the clinic.
LiveMEEG
LiveMEEG is an online conference developed to overcome some limitations of physical events. While virtual conferences can’t fully replace traditional ones, they carry several advantages (on top of being a necessary sanitary mean in pandemic context). First, virtual events allow the access to a broader audience regardless of the financial situation of the participants, their age, their gender, their professional commitments, their familial constraints or local political restrictions. Second, the digital tools allow to create an environment with more objective interactions: the audience can vote for the most pertinent questions and participants can directly exchange with the speakers. Last but not least, remote conferences have a much lower ecological footprint.
This first edition will occur October 5th to 9th 2020 and will be dedicated to the Best scientific practices for EEG and MEG research. A topic of paramount importance for both new and confirmed researchers, students, engineers, post-docs. If you wish to contribute please fill this call for poster.
PracticalMEEG
PracticalMEEG aims at providing an intensive several-days training to MEG and EEG analysts. It will provide its attendees with the ability to create a full analysis pipeline with exemplar (or their own) data in one or several of three leading software packages dedicated to MEG and EEG analysis (Brainstorm, FieldTrip and MNE-python). On demand, we hope to provide attendees with the opportunity to bridge across toolboxes and weave their own complex multisoftware pipeline.
