About
We aim to gather the local EEG community, exchange ideas and revisit those “simple things” that often matter most. Our goal is to look at EEG data through different lenses, from clinical settings to research labs. We want to host a space for open dialogue, allowing us to learn from each other's workflows and explore the 'how and why' behind our approaches.

Program details
Our Garden is designed as a forum for PhD students and PostDocs working with EEG data in and around Würzburg. Our aim is to bring together the local EEG community, strengthen our shared understanding of the “simple” but often crucial steps in EEG analysis, and brainstorm about how and why we process our data differently.
The program focuses on peer discussion rather than the mere presentation of fixed workflows. Together, we will reflect on practical challenges, caveats, and controversies in clinical and research-based EEG processing from ERPs to time-frequency analyses and beyond.
Each day includes two moderated discussion sessions: 9:00–10:30 and 11:00–12:30. In each session, a moderator will introduce one EEG processing step and lead an open discussion based on real-world data analysis challenges.
Rather than defining a unique, correct pipeline, our goal is to put (our own) existing assumptions into perspective and build a more transparent culture around EEG analysis.
We aim to create a friendly atmosphere - inspired by Tomas Ros paper “Return of the GEDAI” we decided to go for a Star Wars theme, but don’t worry if you are not familiar, we are open to all multiverses..

Venue - How to reach the Würzburg Garden

The conference will take place at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. Founded in 1402, it is one of the oldest universities in Europe. The event sessions will be held at Marcusstraße 9-11 (Institute of Psychology: Department of Psychology I), a facility situated within the university's Röntgenring campus. The campus holds significant scientific importance as the birthplace of modern medical imaging; it was in the former Physical Institute on these grounds that Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered X-rays in 1895, a breakthrough that earned him the inaugural Nobel Prize in Physics.
The venue is centrally located and easily accessible, situated a 4-minute walk from Würzburg Main Station and 10 to 15 minutes from the historic city center.
