Damien Eke
Bio
Dr Damina Okaibedi Eke is an Assistant Professor in Ethics and Governance of Emerging Technologies at the University of Nottingham, UK. He is one of the foremost international experts on the ethics and governance of neurotechnology and brain data. He co-chairs the international Brain Initiative’s Global Working Group on Data, Tools and Technology sharing, and serves as PI and co-PI on several projects developing frameworks for responsible brain data governance and AI. As data governance Coordinator for the now finished EU Human Brain Project, he pioneered a Responsibility-by-Design approach to brain data governance for the EBRAINS infrastructure. He has published extensively on Neuroethics, Responsible AI and data governance and was one of the experts that co-created Nigeria’s National AI strategy. He founded both the African Data Governance Initiative and the African Brain data Network. He is also a member of the US National Academics (NASEM) advisory committee on Life Science Data Governance in Central Asia

Eberechi Wogu
Bio
Dr. Eberechi Wogu is a neuroscientist and senior lecturer in the department of Anatomy at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria; where she leads the African Neurodata Research (ANR) Lab. Her research focuses on neuroimaging, brain data science, open science, neuroethics and the development of FAIR African brain datasets to advance equitable global neuroscience. She has led and contributed to several international research and capacity- building initiatives, including projects supported by IBRO, Wellcome, DFG and Oxford University and is committed to strengthening neuroscience research, data governance and mental health innovation across Africa through collaborative research, training and policy engagement.

Isalar Ehijele
Bio
Ehijele Isalar is a dedicated Specialized Clinical Physiologist in Neurophysiology at The
Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with more than 10 years of experience in the hospital and healthcare industry. He holds both a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Physiology, providing a strong academic foundation that complements his extensive clinical expertise. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in the investigation, assessment, and diagnosis of a wide range of neurological disorders using advanced neurophysiological techniques, including electroencephalography (EEG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS). He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and improve clinical outcomes. Ehijele is committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice while continually advancing his knowledge and skills in neurophysiology.

Mustafa Hamada
Bio
Dr. Mustafa S. Hamada is the Chief Product and Science Officer at Mendi Innovations, a consumer neurotechnology company focused on making brain health practical, accessible, and effective. He leads product innovation, scientific strategy, and game design across the company, translating neuroscience into scalable, user-centric products with clear commercial and real-world value. His work spans product development, technology strategy, and applied research, ensuring that Mendi's solutions are both scientifically sound and market ready.
Beyond Mendi, Mustafa serves as an executive advisor and public speaker on neurotechnology, with a particular focus on at-edge AI computing for medical wearable BCI applications. He is the winner of the 2024 Swedish Engineering Award in Innovation and co-leads a workstream within the IEEE tasked with developing a global standard to validate digital mental health solutions. He also serves as an Honorary Fellow at the University of Nottingham. Across these roles, he focuses on building credible, high-impact neurotechnology, aligning scientific rigor with business execution, and driving innovation that can scale responsibly beyond the lab.
