CuttingGardens Groningen is hosted by the Artificial Intelligence and Psychology departments of the University of Groningen. Over five days, our local program pairs hands-on methods tutorials (MNE and machine learning, HMP, Unfold, GAMMs) with talks on brain–computer interfaces, brain stimulation and travelling waves, aiming to connect Groningen's EEG community to the wider CuttingEEG network.

Keynote Announcement: Opportunities and challenges of studying the infant brain using OPM-MEG

Optically pumped magnetometers promise wearable, close-to-scalp MEG that fits any head — an advantage that is particularly acute for infants, where conventional cryogenic helmets sacrifice either coverage or sensitivity. Robert Oostenveld situates MEG relative to EEG, contrasts OPMs with SQUIDs, reviews infant setups in use elsewhere and at the Donders, and discusses the practical challenges his group is encountering.

Keynote Speaker: Robert Oostenveld is Associate PI at the Donders Institute, Radboud University, and Affiliated Professor at NatMEG, Karolinska Institute. He leads the FieldTrip toolbox and works on MEG/EEG methods and open science.

During your registration, please indicate if you plan to bring a poster to the Poster Session and give it a preliminary title.

You can also indicate if you are interested in participating in the introductory tutorial on EEG analysis using MNE-Python and which level you would like to take.

 

Poster instructions

The Poster Session is supposed to bring researchers together and stimulate discussion and collaboration. Therefore, we invite multiple forms of posters: to introduce your lab/research, to get feedback for a project, to show a method/technique your team developed, and many more.

Please bring a printed poster with a maximum dimension of A1.

Registration fee

A registration fee of 125 Euros will be charged at registration.
